Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!
We don't really get a good regular snow fall in the Midlands, surrounding counties tend to catch the worst of it, but today, I think the whole country is getting a good coverage of the white stuff! It's predicted to be the worst snow fall since six years ago.

The childrens school usually announces closures on the local radio, but at last check it was still open. I decided not to send them into school. The thought of having to go and collect them when the head master decides to close half way through the day and having to walk through - what would probably be by then blizzard conditions, has brought me to that decision. A think a lot of parents will be doing the same!

Any 'exteme' conditions - heavy rain, a frost, snow - has the cities transport system in chaos, roads are hazardous, public transport a joke, so it looks like I'll be at home for the next few days!

I don't want the boys to use the day as an extended weekend - in that I don't want them spending all day watching cable, dvds (ok a little dvd watching!) or on the X-Box all day.

So off they went to play out in the snow, coming back in with it on there heels. Wet clothes are abandoned on the floor, piled coats and gloves. Me thinking of wet puddles forming where the ice melts. I want the clothes and gloves on the radiators so that when they decide to go back out, they have dry things to put on! I want all the doors shut so we can all keep warm. Man, I'm a grump!

This is my favourtie image - actually capturing the snow falling on camera!

CREATIVE EVERYDAY: Day 27
Thanks to my big sis BB, I have some better pics of my sketches. I'm far to squeemish and worried about messing up the drawing to paint it using any medium. I need to work through that. My problem is I can't seem to transfer one sketch onto canvas without it coming out rubbish!

I really enjoyed getting down to these sketches. Thanks for all your supportive and informative comments too! Looking forward to checking out all your posts for this week!

Creative Every Day: Day Twenty-two
I may have been creating alot, mostly sketching and trying to scan/photograph the images but until I can get a decent scanner I need to work in softer pencils as the lines just don't show up well on my current scanner. This is the only one of my sketches that photographed ok.

CREATIVE EVERYDAY: Day Fifteen
This is the poster I was talking about on day one of Creative Everyday. I got caught up in asking for permission to put this up on my blog incase it infringed any copyrights. Had an email back today from Sonia Choquettes assistant saying it was A-OK.

I highly recommend her book,'Trust Your Vibes'.
Yesterday I went through some old copies of nude magazine, and I was able to cut it up! I can be a bit precious about cutting up magazines, seeing cutting up magazines akin to cutting up money. I'm getting over it. And now I've tacked the images I cut out on the wall above my PC for some creative inspiration and eye candy. It looks good!
Thank you for all your support, lovely comments and photgraphy advice!

CREATIVE EVERYDAY: Day Twelve

Purple tone czech fire polished beads with tibetan silver stars and sterling silver findings.
It seems that even with my new camera my jewellery does not photograph well, it needs to be photographed next to skin I think, like the photo's my big sis took for my etsy store.
